LANSING, MI – Two Democratic Michigan congressmen plan to discuss proposed health care changes with their constituents by telephone.

Rep. Mark Schauer of Battle Creek said Wednesday he'll speak with residents Thursday evening in a conference call.

Rep. Bart Stupak of Menominee, who already held a July 29 conference call on health care with more than 3,500 constituents, plans to hold a similar call in late September.

Democratic Rep. John Dingell of Dearborn has held several town hall meetings with residents during Congress' August recess, some of which got raucous.

Michigan Democratic Sen. Carl Levin of Detroit said Wednesday he plans to speak with health care providers and insurance companies this month and may meet with constituents once the Senate drafts its health care legislation.
