Williams leads high-scoring Jazz over Pistons

AUBURN HILLS, MI – Deron Williams had 18 points and 12 assists, and the Utah Jazz beat the Detroit Pistons 115-104 Wednesday night.

The Jazz had seven players in double figures as they posted their 10th straight victory over Detroit. Former Pistons center Mehmet Okur finished with 18 points, while Carlos Boozer had 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Detroit also had seven players score at least 10 points, led by Charlie Villanueva's 19, but couldn't avoid its seventh loss in eight games.

The Pistons led 29-28 after the first quarter, but the Jazz began the second with a 14-0 run. Utah outscored Detroit 35-14 in the period to take a commanding 20-point halftime lead, outshooting the Pistons 59 percent to 39 percent.
