EAST LANSING, MI –

Lansing-area governments have submitted information sought by Google for its proposed ultra-high speed broadband network project.
WKAR's Scott Pohl reports.

AUDIO: The Lansing Economic Area Partnership, or LEAP, assembled the Google Request for Information today, on the internet company's deadline for proposals.

LEAP business services manager Dru Mitchell was pleased with how many communities are included in the submission.

"Lansing, Meridian, Delta, Delhi and DeWitt Township, and the village of Dimondale, are all participating", Mitchell says.

Individuals can still submit support for Lansing's bid to Google. LEAP has information about the process at gl4g.com until 8 p-m tonight.

Google is expected to announce their choice for a experimental network by the end of the year.
