Granholm taking investment trip to Italy, Germany

LANSING, MI – Gov. Jennifer Granholm is headed to Italy and Germany in hopes of drumming up more business for Michigan.

Granholm's office said Thursday she has left for her 10th overseas investment mission since 2004. The Democratic governor is scheduled to return to Michigan on April 15.

Granholm is scheduled to meet with executives from companies looking to expand or establish a presence in Michigan.

She will speak at a lunch hosted by the Italian Association of the Automotive Industry in Turin. In Germany, Granholm will speak at a reception hosted by industry and business groups in Stuttgart.

Granholm has taken similar trips to other nations including Israel, Japan and Sweden.
