Attorney Geoffrey Fieger is thinking of making another run for governor.
An EPIC-MRA poll released over the weekend shows Fieger leading the three Democrats already in the race, but that's largely because of his success in high-profile cases and earlier defense of assisted suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian.
Fieger told The Associated Press on Monday that he could pay to collect the signatures he'd need by May 11 to get on the ballot and expects to make up his mind about a run this week.
The outspoken, shaggy-haired attorney calls the five Republicans in the governor's race a "motley crew" and says he doesn't know much about the three Democrats he'd face in a primary.
Fieger won the 1998 Democratic primary but lost to Republican Gov. John Engler.
