LANSING, MI – Former Lansing city councilmember Lucile Belen has died at 97. Belen served on the council from 1956 to 1993. Belen's family started Belen's Flowers in Lansing in 1936. Lucile Belen was inducted into the Michigan Floral Foundation earlier this year. She was inducted in to the Michigan Women's Hall of fame in 2001.
