A lot of issues are bubbling up in Michigan's wide-open governor's race, but in the end, the biggest one remains jobs and the economy.

In a statewide poll conducted last month by EPIC-MRA, 60% of Michigan voters said improving Michigan's economy and creating jobs was their top priority.

The five Republicans and two Democrats running for governor in the Aug. 3 primary seem to be responding to that message. Through TV ads, websites and social networking, all are talking about jobs.

Republican Mike Cox tweeted Wednesday he was launching his "Putting Michigan Back To Work" tour. Democrat Virg Bernero greeted workers at a General Motors plant in Flint on Tuesday to discuss how he's working to keep manufacturing in Michigan.
