Groups with views on Michigan's economic future have begun weighing in on the plans of the state's two Gubernatorial candidates.

AUDIO: Democratic Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero will square off against Republican businessman Rick Snyder in November. Lynn Jondahl is with the group "A Better Michigan Future." He was a candidate for Governor in 1994. He says Bernero's plan to form a state bank puts the focus where it belongs.

"He has focused on investment in infrastructure in order to make investment funds more readily available," he says. "I think that makes a lot of sense."

Jondahl cites an Upjohn study which finds state investment creates more jobs than cuts in business taxes.

Snyder has a 10-point plan he claims would 'reinvent' the state's economy. It includes cutting business taxes, streamlining regulation and reforming the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
