Republicans and Democrats choose MSU trustee Candidates

The Michigan Republican and Democratic parties have picked the candidates to run for two open Michigan State University trustee positions.

AUDIO:
Brian Breslin, former MSU basketball player, and Mitch Lyons, former MSU football player, received the Republican nominations for the two open seats on the board. Trustee Don Nugent, who served for sixteen years, was defeated, and his name will not appear on the November ballot.

The Democratic Party has chosen activist Dennis Denno of Lansing and incumbent Colleen McNamara of Okemos to run for the eight member board. Trustee terms are eight years.
