Florida Atlantic 'hosts' Michigan State in Detroit

By AP

DETROIT – Florida Atlantic coach Howard Schnellenberger says it's going to take a superhuman game for his team to have a chance to beat Michigan State.

Oddsmakers who made the Spartans a favorite to win by four touchdowns seem to agree with him.

Michigan State will technically be the road team at Ford Field in Detroit. The Owls originally planned to be the home team in the matchup, but their new stadium won't be ready until next season.

Both teams won their opener last week.

The Spartans beat Western Michigan 38-14 as freshman Le'Veon Bell set a school record with 141 yards rushing.

Florida Atlantic won at Alabama-Birmingham 32-31 after blocking a field goal on the final play.
