A political action committee connected to the Republican Governors Association is developing a large presence in Michigan.

The RGA Michigan 2010 PAC this week reported raising $8 million since it was founded late last year. A campaign watchdog group called the Michigan Campaign Finance Network said Wednesday the Republican committee has raised more than any other PAC in the state this election cycle.

Much of the money has gone to the Michigan Republican Party.

The Michigan Campaign Finance Network says the state's first PACs funded by corporate donations have been established. These include committees tied to the Michigan Association of Realtors and Business Leaders for Michigan.
