Justin Sheehan, executive director of the Lansing Promise, talks about being white and growing up in a predominately African-American neighborhood in Lansing.
WKAR Digital News Director Reginald Hardwick asked all of our panel their backgrounds and where they grew up.. And then they answered three questions:
-What is their first memory of learning they were different?
-What is misunderstood about their race or ethnicity?
-What makes them proud of their race or ethnicity?
