This week on All Things Considered, we are hearing from five of your Michigan neighbors of diverse backgrounds their perspective on race and culture. Michigan State University senior Juwan Clarke is a Detroit native who is African-American. He explained how he learned about other races by being on a bowling league.

WKAR Digital News Director Reginald Hardwick asked all of our panel their backgrounds and where they grew up.. And then they answered three questions: 

-What is their first memory of learning they were different?

-What is misunderstood about their race or ethnicity?

-What makes them proud of their race or ethnicity?
