Two Lansing area men joined the nationwide "Black Panther Challenge." They sent more than 60 children to see the Marvel Comics film.

The Disney/Marvel film Black Panther is now in the top 20 of highest grossing movies in North America.

But it’s also being credited with helping children of color see themselves like never before on screen.

With that in mind, Lansing men Jim Phan and Howard Johnson joined the Black Panther Challenge.

Both men recently talked with WKAR's Brooke Allen about it.
