The Lansing Lugnuts are going for 1,500 wins in franchise history, and they could do it in Lansing. Although the Lugnuts squandered the first opportunity against the Fort Wayne TinCaps with a 10-2 loss, there are still a couple more home games in the series in which history could be made.

Lugnuts announcer Jesse Goldberg-Strassler said that if history holds true, the night of the milestone could be a memorable one.

"Well I was thinking, with 1,000, we got a walk-off, so a walk-off would once again be great. I would love a no-hitter," Goldberg-Strassler said. "I think we should go out there and no-hit the Fort Wayne TinCaps to get that 1,500th win--something special, something that makes that game stand out so that it's not your average, run-of-the-mill five-to-two wins."

The Lugnuts will try again tomorrow night at 7:05 at Cooley Law School Stadium.
