Enough of all the frivolous side-shows on "Current Sports with Al Martin." Real boxing returns this weekend with Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin squaring off in the ring, and Al and engineer Isaac Constans rejoice. Al contrasts this fight to the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight, and Isaac gives his predictions. Then, callers weigh in about the big weekend ahead. Al bites back at one's suggestion that he hasn't been giving the record-setting Cleveland Indians enough love. And with a perfect transition, another caller gives a new take on ESPN anchor Jemele Hill. On that note, Al runs a portion of a sit-down he had with WKAR news director Reginald Hardwick, Lansing State journal sports columnist Graham Couch and host of the "Spartan Beat" Rico Beard. The four journalists identify what's changed with social media in the new age of media, and they specifically look at Hill, a Michigan State journalism graduate who tweeted that President Donald Trump was a "white supremacist." Following that, there's not a stone unturned, and Al and Isaac put a bow on the show and the week with "Reflection Friday."
