Current State speaks with Judith Gardi, President of the Friends of Park Lake, about what the group would like to see and what makes the lake special.

What body of water is situated about eight miles northeast of downtown Lansing? It’s not Lake Lansing. That really only leaves Park Lake, up Park Lake Road in Bath Township, Clinton County.

It’s easy to overlook Park Lake with the much larger Lake Lansing just a couple miles away. Park Lake is nice enough, but at 186 acres, it’s small and, by and large, a fairly unremarkable place.

That doesn’t stop residents from enjoying Park Lake and taking pride in it. That’s especially true for the members of the organization, Friends of Park Lake.

We talk with the president of the organization, Judith Gardi.
