The MSU Symphony Orchestra’s next concert at Wharton Center features two energetic and supernatural-sounding works.

The concert starts with “Destination Macondo” by MSU College of Music associate professor of composition, Ricardo Lorenz. Lorenz told WKAR’s Melissa Benmark the story of how he came to write the piece that premiered in 2001.

WKAR's Melissa Benmark asked MSU Director of Orchestras Kevin Noe to talk about Lorenz’s work, and the "Symphony Fantastique" by Berlioz, which is also on the program.
