A health care advocacy group says about 745,000 Michigan adults and children would become eligible for the federal government's help to pay for health insurance beginning next year.
Washington, D.C.-based Families USA released the report Thursday.
The report finds most of those eligible are in working families. A family of four with an annual income between $47,100 and $94,200 would be eligible for a tax credit on a sliding scale to help lower the cost of health insurance.
The online marketplace where Michigan residents will shop for health insurance will be controlled by the federal government because the Legislature rejected Snyder's proposed partnership. GOP legislators also are wary of his plan to expand Medicaid coverage.
