With the elections over, the Legislature returns to Lansing Thursday to begin what’s expected to be a short “lame duck” session.

As we hear from Michigan Public Radio’s Rick Pluta, Governor Rick Snyder has an agenda for lawmakers.

Governor Snyder just won a second term as part of the near-Republican sweep in the elections – but says he still has unfinished business for this term.

“First of all, I’d like to wrap up comprehensive transportation funding, and I would hope to do that even this year,” he says.

Snyder says with the election done and over, he hopes it will be easier to get a billion dollar-plus transportation package through the Legislature. Republicans control the House and the Senate and their majorities will be even larger in the new session.
