Eight Lansing candidates gear up for city council primary

The race is on for seats on the Lansing city council. The primary election is next Tuesday.

On August 4th, Lansing voters will narrow the field of candidates for Lansing city council. There will be at least one new member of the council after the November general election. Current State’s Scott Pohl talks with Lansing State Journal reporter Eric Lacy about the candidates.

Next Tuesday, August 4th, is primary election day in Lansing, and it’s highlighted by the city council races. Carol Wood is running for another term as an at-large councilmember, Jody Washington hopes to stay in her seat representing the first ward, and A’Lynne Boles is running for re-election in the third ward. Vincent Delgado was appointed to an at-large seat earlier this year, but he isn’t running so he’ll be gone at the end of the year.
