Four Michigan congressmen will take the field tonight at Washington Nationals Park, one day after a gunman wounded five people at a practice game for the annual charity baseball game.  Rep. John Moolenaar (R-MI 4) will be among them.

Moolenaar will play outfield for the GOP team, which includes fellow Michiganders Mike Bishop and Jack Bergman.  They’ll square off against their Democratic colleague, Dan Kildee.

Moolenaar says he feels confident about security at tonight’s game...and he’s hoping to win his bet with Kildee.

"If we (Republicans) win, he supplies me with Flint coney dogs," Moolenaar explains.  "If he wins, I supply him with a Birch Run BLT from Tony's!"

No one from the Michigan delegation was hurt in the attack.  However, former legislative aide Matt Mika, who is from Michigan, was seriously wounded.  Moolenaar says he looks forward to visiting Mika very soon.
