The president of Michigan's AFL-CIO remembers fondly Rep. John Dingell. The congressman who served Michigan for nearly 6-decades died Thursday at the age of 92.
Dingell was a Democratic representative who supported landmark legislation including the Voting Rights Act, Medicare, the Endangered Species Act and the Clean Water Act.

Representative John Dingell is survived by his wife Debbie, who succeeded him in his congressional seat here in Michigan.
Along with his wife, Dingell is survived by two daughters, two sons, one of whom served 15 years in the Michigan Legislature, and several grandchildren.
