MSU Science Festival | Dr. Scott Talks Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs, dinosaurs, and more dinosaurs! WKAR and Curious Crew were recently in your community exploring with Dr. Scott Sampson at the 2015 Michigan State University Science Festival.

The MSU Science Festival is a free multi-day celebration of science, fueled by some of the basic elements essential to scientific inquiry: curiosity, wonder, and discovery.

On Friday evening Dr. Scott Sampson, expert host for Discovery Channel’s Dinosaur Planet and PBS’ Dinosaur Train, spoke to the community on dinosaurs, the value of the great outdoors, and discovery. Following the presentation audience members engaged in conversation and refreshments while Dr. Scott signed copies of his book, How to Raise a Wild Child.

Then on Saturday, the fun continued with Dr. Scott as he lead a lively tour of dinosaur paleontology for standing-room-only crowd. This interactive presentation was tailored for young children, ages 2-8, as well as all other dinosaur enthusiasts!

The events were for all ages and were sponsored by WKAR and Curious Crew. Fans of the new WKAR original series had the opportunity to meet host Rob Stephenson and the Curious Crew and participated in a hands-on-activities exploring science.
