Fri. Nov. 4 at 9pm on WKAR-HD 23.1 | Join LINCOLN CENTER AT THE MOVIES as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre showcases its spectacular range, diversity and artistry in this special presentation, which includes the company’s signature work, Revelations, along with three other pieces.

This special Lincoln Center at the Movies presentation brings one of the world’s leading modern dance companies, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, to PBS. Audiences will also get to see three additional dynamic pieces: Chroma by Wayne McGregor, Grace by Ronald K. Brown, and Takademe by the company’s Artistic Director Robert Battle. Matthew Diamond directs for television.

In addition to the moving onstage performances, the television special incorporates behind-the-scenes pre-performance preparation, as well as interviews with several longtime Ailey dancers and artistic team members. They share their personal take on the powerful impact of the Ailey company, describe the importance of each piece performed, and explain why audiences remain connected. .
