Latin Fair | Wind & Rhythm

Courtesy

Fri. Sep. 18 at 8pm on 90.5 FM & STREAMING | This week on Wind & Rhythm, celebrate the sounds and syncopations of Latin America.

Attend a bullfight and festival with Aldo Forte, explore Columbia with Victoriano Valencia, dance a tango with Astor Piazzolla, feed a bird some flour with Jose Gomes Abreu, take part in some drumming with Carlos Chavez, and dance on with Arturo Marquez.

It will be a wonderful mix of infectious rhythms and memorable melodies while musically touring South and Central America. All of that and more here, at the gathering place for people who love band music.

ABOUT WIND & RHYTHM
Fridays at 8pm on 90.5 FM & STREAMING

Wind & Rhythm began in 2008 on the radio. Almost all of the stations are NPR affiliates, and that means the standards are very high. The breadth of the wind band world is due to its robust community of ensembles, composers and conductors.  Forty million people of all ages make some of the best music imaginable because they make it with the very air they breathe.
