Tonight at 8:00, WKAR 90.5 Classical and wkar.org brings music listeners the first-ever live broadcast of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra. Music Director Timothy Muffitt leads the program which includes the world premiere of MSU composer Zhou Tian's Trace, plus Sergei Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with soloist Llewellyn Sanchaez-Werner (2014 Gilmore Young Artist winner) and Mussorgsky/Ravel's colorful and thrilling Pictures at an Exhibition. During intermission from the Wharton Center live program, Maestro Muffitt previews Pictures with WKAR host Peter Whorf.
