This week's Current State focuses on the opioid crisis. MSU's pyschiatry chair explains the potency of drug overdoses and East Lansing police dept. shares how it stays prepared for overdoses. We update people on the statewide application process for medical marijuana. Current Sports' Al Martin reviews the MSU football team's great start and a special charity game played Sunday.

The second half of Current State includes former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's words from a visit to Ann Arbor this week.  Also, how an outlaw's severed head story lead to an MSU professor to a painful U.S. history lesson and exploring the Day of the Dead celebrations in Lansing.
