MSU Women's Basketball Postpones Game Due To Weather

MSU Athletics

Per MSU Athletics - The Michigan State women’s basketball team has postponed its game with Penn State on Thursday, Jan. 31 due to continuing inclement weather.

The game will be re-scheduled for Wednesday,  Feb. 27 at a time to be determined.

University leaders are monitoring weather conditions and will provide any necessary updates to keep the community safe. Because of ongoing severe wind chills and poor road conditions, Michigan State University has suspended class as well on Thursday.

Thursday’s MSU-Penn State game was also scheduled to be National Girls and Women in Sports Day and that event will also be re-scheduled for a later date to be announced.

The Spartans will now prepare to host Purdue on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Breslin Center in MSU’s annual Pink Game. Michigan State is 15-5 overall and 5-4 in league play and has currently won two-straight games. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
