We discuss all things all things Big Ten football, which has been given the green light to officially begin in late October. Why now? What has changed? How safe is it?

Today's Current Sports with Al Martin dives into the major news coming from the Big Ten Conference.

There have been debates, protests, and even outrage from politicians, including President Donald Trump. Now, less than five weeks after pushing fall sports to spring due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Big Ten Conference made the announcement today that it will open its football season the weekend of October 23rd to the 24th.

The Big Ten noted that its Council of Presidents and Chancellors voted unanimously for the restart.

Al tells you why he doesn't like the decision and what it says about our country. Also, Al tells you the glaring message that it sends to college athletes today.
