You probably wouldn’t think there’s much overlap between the scientists studying biofuel and those studying cancer. But new research from a Michigan State University professor could have important implications for both fields.Christoph Benning is a professor in MSU’s Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. His lab has discovered a gene that can act as an “on-off” switch for cell growth.
