If you like riding your bike and you like parties, there’s a local group that might be right up your alley. The Lansing Bike Party meets a few times a week to casually ride through town, explore neighborhoods, and meet people along the way. We hear from some regulars in the group, and let you know how you can join the party.

The Lansing Bike Party is a group that goes on casual bike rides through the capital city several times a week. Its members revel in riding around town at a leisurely pace, chatting, playing music and taking sometimes spontaneous detours.

They always end their excursion at a fun destination, often a restaurant, bar, or a swimming  pool during the summer.

Jeff Potter is the organizer of the Lansing Bike Party. Current State’s Katie Cook met up with him to learn how the party started.
