Lansing’s Old Town has a long tradition as a mecca for artists and musicians. Now, some in the historic neighborhood are hoping to add gardening to its repertoire.
This Sunday, nearly a dozen businesses and individuals are hosting the first Old Town Garden Tour as a fundraiser for the Old Town Commercial Association.
Current State’s Kevin Lavery met Michael Beebe at his home a couple of blocks from the heart of Old Town. He’s built his backyard sanctuary as a slice of the tropics off Turner Street.
