Flood Waters Continue To Rise Around Lansing, Capital Region

With the Grand and Red Cedar rivers continuing to rise throughout Thursday, crests are expected to reach several feet beyond flood stage sometime late Thursday/early Friday.

Flood waters are the result of this week's rain combined with warm temperatures that rapidly melted existing snow in the area. This week's high water mark is expected to be the area's worst since 1975.
