June has come and just about gone. The Governor signed budgets this month, though not for a comprehensive road funding package as many had hoped. Primary candidates traded jabs, and the Detroit Free Press shined an intense light on the state’s charter schools and it has generated a lot of discussion. As we do every month, we welcome a roundtable of State Capitol reporters to review the month’s biggest developments.

Tim Skubick is the longest serving member of the State Capitol press corp and the host of Michigan Public TV’s “Off the Record” seen on WKAR-TV. Emily Lawler is a correspondent with MIRS News based in Lansing. John Lindstrom is the longtime publisher of Gongwer News in Lansing.
