Barring the highly unforeseeable, Mark Schauer will be Michigan’s Democratic candidate for Governor next year. Schauer headed the BlueGreenAlliance, a group comprised of 14 of the country’s largest unions and environmental organizations that advances a green jobs agenda.
In mid-Michigan, Schauer is better remembered as a U.S. Congressman from the 7th district, until his 2010 defeat by Republican Tim Walberg. Prior to that, he served in the Michigan Senate and House.
Current State welcomes Schauer to discuss his plans on education and his race against Gov. Rick Snyder.
