New documentary chronicles the making of the Broad

Just over a year has passed since Michigan State University opened the Broad Art Museum. Through its design phase, construction and opening, the angular structure has been embraced by some and detested by others, while bringing worldwide attention to MSU.This evening, WKAR-TV debuts a 30-minute documentary film about the Broad Museum project. “Wills and Steel” airs tonight at   11:30 p.m. on WKAR-TV, with a repeat at 11:30 p.m. on January 31st. It’s called “Wills and Steel”.

Linda Stanford was the project coordinator from the selection of the design entered by award-winning architect Zaha Hadidthrough its opening, and she was the point person for getting this documentary made. Stanford says she helped select New York filmmaker Ultan Guilfoyle.
