The MSU football program will not renew the contract of Director of College Advancement and Performance Curtis Blackwell when it expires on Wednesday. Blackwell has been suspended with pay since early February amid an investigation of three football players following a reported sexual assault in January.

His MSU contract has been renewed on a monthly basis since the end of March. The Ingham County prosecutor’s office is considering criminal charges against the three players.

University spokesman Jason Cody confirms that head coach Mark Dantonio has decided not to renew Blackwell’s contract.
