Community Celebrities Compete in WKAR "QuizBusters" Special Edition

Participants in WKAR’s upcoming “QuizBusters Special Edition” competition were revealed on Thursday, September 6, at the station’s fall preview.

Playing the first game for the Green Team are Scott Westerman, President, MSU Alumni Association; Jen Sygit, Michigan-based singer and songwriter; Sue Carter, MSU School of Journalism faculty member, author and intrepid adventurer; and team captain Guy Sanville, Artistic Director, Purple Rose Theatre.

Competing against them for the White Team are Lynn Jondahl, Board Member, Michigan League for Human Services and former State Representative; Greg Adaline, WLNS anchor; Mike Hughes, syndicated entertainment and television columnist; and team captain Molly Fillmore, MSU College of Music Voice faculty and member of the Metropolitan Opera.

Playing the second game for the Green Team are Jake Boss, Jr., MSU Baseball Head Coach; Bob Hoffman, Wharton Center communications manager and founder of ePIFanyNOW; Kat Cooper, host of “Moms Everyday” and a Michigan-based actor and blogger; and team captain Renee Canady, Director, Ingham County Health Department.

Competing against them on the White Team are Evan Pinnsonault, WLNS morning anchor, features reporter and local actor; Robin Miner-Swartz, Director of Communications for the Capital Region Community Foundation and board member of the Center for New Enterprise Opportunity; Chad Badgero, Communication Director of the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, co-founder and festival director at Renegade Theatre Festival; and Artistic Director of Peppermint Creek Theatre Company; and team captain Terry Braverman, public address voice for Spartan football and Spartan men’s basketball, voice of the Detroit Lions, and the original host of WKAR’s “High School Quiz Bowl.”
