WKAR presents live coverage of Michigan Governor Rick Snyder's State of the State address, with Democratic Party response and analysis on Wednesday, January 16, at 7 p.m. This broadcast marks 43 consecutive years that the Michigan State of the State has been covered by WKAR.
WKAR-TV will provide coverage anchored by senior capitol correspondent Tim Skubick. The governor's address will be followed by brief analysis and the airing of the Democratic response by Senate Democratic Leader Gretchen Whitmer. Following the response, Skubick and a panel of Capitol correspondents will continue analysis until 8:30 p.m.
WKAR Radio will feature Michigan Public Radio Network coverage of the address on 90.5 WKAR. Rick Pluta will be at the State Capitol, with Jennifer White and Craig Fahle of Michigan Radio in Ann Arbor. Analysis will follow.
