Heavy rains have caused more flooding in parts of Michigan's Upper Peninsula that were still working to recover from last month's severe flooding.
WLUC-TV reports at least 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) of rain fell Thursday in the Keweenaw Peninsula, closing roads in Hubbell and elsewhere.
The station says some roads that were repaired after last month's flooding were damaged again.
Hubbell resident Ben Jeffery says he was awakened Thursday by a lightning strike and saw "a river coming across M-26." Crews were repairing parts of that roadway in Houghton County.
Last month's rain swelled waterways that washed away large chunks of concrete and asphalt, littering roads with debris. Some residents used boats to get around.
After that flooding, Gov. Rick Snyder issued disaster declarations for Gogebic, Houghton and Menominee counties.
