Jun. 5 at 1pm on 90.5 FM & STREAMING | Tune in to hear lively performances of the world's greatest opera stars.For the season finale of the Metropolitan Opera, it's Benjamin Britten's sea-faring opera about duty, jealousy, justice, sacrifice and indeed, salvation aboard the H.M.S. Bellipotent in Billy Budd. Based on the novella by Herman Melville, this 1997 performance conducted by Steuart Bedford features Philip Langridge as Captain Vere, James Morris as Claggart, and Dwayne Croft as Billy Budd, the sailor with the stutter.
