Our Live Music Friday guests today are The Corey Kendrick Trio. Kendrick is a jazz pianist with a Master's Degree from MSU. The group’s debut album is called “Rootless.”

Corey Kendrick and The Corey Kendrick Trio are today's Live Music Friday guests. Kendrick is a Master’s Degree graduate of the MSU College of Music Jazz Studies program who has played piano alongside notable artists like Rodney Whitaker, Etienne Charles, Jimmy Cobb, Christian McBride and many others. He’s assembled this trio with Nick Bracewell on drums and Joe Vasquez on bass. The group has just released it’s debut album, “Rootless.”

Next Tuesday, they’ll play at Moriarty’s Pub in Lansing as part of the Jazz Tuesdays series.
