Governors and environmentalists from around the region are gathering in Chicago this week to discuss Great Lakes issues. We check in with commentator Gary Wilson about the topics getting the most attention for September’s Great Lakes Month in Review.

The “Who’s Who” of the Great Lakes community is gathered in Chicago for the yearly Great Lakes Week. It’s a series of conferences bringing together government officials and environmentalists to talk about the region’s most pressing environmental issues.

Great Lakes commentator Gary Wilson is in Chicago for the event. Current State talks with Wilson for September’s Great Lakes Month in Review segment.

This segment is supported by Michigan State University's Knight Center for Environmental Journalism. More news about the Great Lakes environment can be found at GreatLakesEcho.org and on Current State every Tuesday as part of our partnership.
