Michigan’s older adult population is growing rapidly, a fact that was addressed in Governor Snyder’s special message on aging last year. Snyder said our focus should be on the continued improvement of our aging services to create opportunities for Michigan’s older adults to live long, high-quality lives.

Since that message, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has been hard at work on a new website designed to connect aging adults with the services they need.

The site www.Michigan.gov/aging went live in August.  Current State talks with Kari Sederburg, executive director for the Aging and Adult Services Agency, and Ron Olson, chief of parks and recreation at the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
