Non-profit group relaunches MI history magazine for kids

A state history publication once ended by budget cuts is back with a new look and a new focus. We talk with Nancy Feldbush and Amy Bradfield of the Historical Society of Michigan. They’re co-editors of Michigan History for Kids magazine.

The new school year is well underway, and elementary school students all over the state are learning about Michigan history. This year, teachers will have a new tool to introduce kids to stories from Michigan's past. The Historical Society of Michigan is relaunching a history publication geared for younger students. It’s a magazine called Michigan History for Kids.

Current State talks with Nancy Feldbush, communications director for the Historical Society of Michigan and the lead editor of Michigan History for Kids, and assistant editor and education services manager Amy Bradfield.
