MSU’s College of Music Cello Plus series has grown into one of Michigan’s largest chamber festivals. Current State's Peter Whorf speaks with Cello Plus founder Suren Bagratuni and visiting composer Vache Sharafyan about this Wednesday’s concert at Fairchild Theatre. Sharafyan says the first cello concerto he wrote was at the request of Bagratuni, and was dedicated to him.
Bagratuni says he wasn't involved in writing the piece beyond that, because he completely trusts Sharafyan.
