Seven people are facing arrest warrants in Ingham County.  They’re accused of filing fraudulent claims with an MSU survivors’ relief fund.

In late 2018, the Michigan State University Police Department received information that the MSU Healing Assistance Fund had paid reimbursements that later appeared to be fraudulent.  The MSU Healing Assistance Fund was established for survivors of former sports doctor Larry Nassar to pay for counseling and mental health services that weren’t covered by their insurance.

The claims totaled more than $527,000.  Now, the Ingham County prosecutor’s office is charging seven defendants with 22 felony counts.

The names of the defendants are being withheld pending their arraignments.
