Higher ed scholarships assist Lansing youth

With rising tuition costs, higher education has grown less affordable and accessible for many. But here in the Lansing area, there are a number of opportunities to help with the costs of obtaining an advanced degree.Toni Glasscoe, director of K through 12 relations for Lansing Community College, says $3-million has been raised in the eight years of the Lansing Promise. Qualified students get financial support to complete two years of study at LCC. So far, more than 3,500 students have benefited from the program.
