MSU economist highlights drawbacks of Balanced Budget Amendment

Current State's discussion on a proposed Balanced Budget Amendment continued with MSU economist Charley Ballard.Ballard says in a recession, people lose their jobs. People who lose their jobs don't pay as much in taxes. That would mean, he argues, that with a requirement to balance the budget, the federal deficit would go up, not down.
